AIM OF THE COURSE

The Course is designed as 5-day update to give participants the essentials for a rational approach to diagnosis and management of the most common bone and soft tissue tumors and tumor-like conditions.
A current review thorough multidisciplinary exposure to multimodal management including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and novel systemic options along with future perspectives are the strong point of this Course. Clinico-radiographic and pathologic correlations including practical studies under microscope are particularly highlighted.
To teach the practice of a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and management, the format includes interactive sessions for questions and case presentations. An early morning interactive session of multiple choice questions reviews the topics previously discussed. The last day participants are grouped into multidisciplinary teams to discuss a clinical case in front of the audience. The best teams are awarded a prize.
The Course remains an invaluable opportunity for orthopaedic surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and basic researchers to improve their knowledge and competence in these pathologies by working in multidisciplinary teams.

ATLAS OF MUSCULOSKELETAL TUMORS AND TUMORLIKE LESIONS

The Atlas of Musculoskeletal Tumors and Tumorlike Lesions is included in the registration fee. This textbook will be a valuable resource to refer to during the course.
